Programme of theatre pedagogy - methodical approaches for developing social and communicative competencies

Summaries of the 10 lesson plans based on theatre pedagogical approaches for emotionally positive scope for experience in nurseries and schools (long version only in German).

Author: Dipl.Päd. Karin Madl (QT)
Aims:

By using theatre pedagogical methods, the basic framework is laid for the positive management of superior communication skills. Speech and language development is provided through verbal and non-verbal possibilities of expression in an interactive and child-oriented way. The children can playfully test and further develop their emotional and social competence in an atmosphere of trust.

Specifics:

The theatre pedagogical lesson plans follow an inner structure and are based on the children’s book “Flo W – voll im Flow” by Manuela Eitler-Sedlak. Through the selection of topics and the varied activities, the scope of experience is broadened in the day-to-day education of children aged 5 to approx. 8 years. Sociability, empathy and expressiveness are promoted and interpersonal communication behaviour is encouraged.

Target group:

Nursery and primary school teachers, lecturers from educational institutions for early childhood education and teacher training colleges

Implementation/Input:

Individually modifiable
